Information you give us. You share information directly when you subscribe to The Local Authority Brief™, download a free resource, buy a book, workbook, planner, or tool, or email us. Depending on what you do, that may include your name, email address, and — for purchases — billing and shipping details.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records limited technical information when you visit — your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, and how you arrived. This helps us keep the site secure and understand what’s useful.

Comments. If you leave a comment on an article, we collect the information in the comment form along with your IP address and browser details to help detect spam.

Email and The Local Authority Brief™

When you subscribe or download a free resource, you’re added to our email list, managed through Kit (ConvertKit). We send practical updates and occasional information about our products — never spam. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

Cookies and Analytics

Our site uses cookies — small files stored in your browser — to remember your preferences and keep things running smoothly. Payments

Purchases are processed securely through Stripe. Your payment card details are handled directly by Stripe and are not stored on our servers. Stripe’s use of your information is governed by its own privacy policy.

Products and Fulfillment

Printed books, workbooks, and planners are produced and shipped through Lulu. When you order a physical product, only the shipping information needed to fulfill that order is shared with Lulu.

Embedded Content

Articles and pages may include embedded content such as YouTube videos. Embedded content behaves as though you visited that other website directly, and those sites may collect data about you, set cookies, and track your interaction with their content.

Service Providers We Work With

We share information only with the trusted services that help us operate:

  • Hostinger — website hosting
  • Kit (ConvertKit) — email and newsletter delivery
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Lulu — print production and shipping

These providers may use your information only to perform their services for us.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for anyone else’s marketing. We share it only with the service providers above, or when required by law.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide what you’ve asked for — for example, while you’re subscribed to our email list, or as long as we’re required to keep order records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted — except where we’re required to keep certain records.
