The Decision Gap Loop Workbook™
Your pipeline already has stages. This is where you find out which ones everyone is standing in.
A working build of the six-stage Decision Gap Loop™ — sorting your database by stage, setting the follow-up each stage actually needs, and practicing the conversations until guiding replaces guessing.

Why this workbook exists
Your pipeline isn’t dead. It’s mid-stage.
Somewhere in your database is a couple who talked to you in March, went quiet in April, and will buy something this fall. Right now they look identical to the leads who were never going to move — same silence, same non-response, same slot in the CRM.
That’s the whole problem. Without a stage, every quiet contact looks like the same thing, so every quiet contact gets the same follow-up: a check-in that says nothing, sent whenever you remember. It’s the message most likely to be ignored by the person most likely to buy.
Reading the loop fixes that, but only if you actually sort your people into it. That’s work — a few hundred names, one stage at a time — and it doesn’t happen from reading a chapter about it.
The book teaches the loop. This is where you build it into the week.
Each stage gets its own chapter, its own list of your real clients, and its own follow-up rhythm — so the person in Rationalization gets scenarios and the person in Awareness gets a market note, without you sorting anything by hand a second time.
The spine of the book
Six stages. Six chapters. Your actual names in each one.
Every stage runs on a different conversation and a different cadence. Each chapter ends with a list of real people and the specific next move for each of them.
1
Awareness
Curiosity without commitment — and where most relationships quietly begin.
What you build
- Your Awareness list, pulled from the contacts you’d written off
- A no-pressure market touch that earns the next conversation
- The opening questions that orient instead of qualify
2
Desire
Emotion has entered. The math hasn’t yet, and rushing it shrinks the vision.
What you build
- The questions that define what a client actually wants
- Scenario framing that stabilizes desire instead of spiking it
- Your own tell for when emotion is ready to meet numbers
3
Hesitation
The longest stage in the loop, and the one where most deals quietly come apart.
What you build
- Your net sheet and five-year comparison, ready before you need them
- The calm-tone response to loss aversion, lock-in, and rate anchoring
- Language that normalizes hesitation rather than closing through it
4
Rationalization
Delay dressed as logic — sometimes wise, often fear in a better suit.
What you build
- Your cost-of-waiting model, built once and reused
- Two-timeline comparisons a client can hold in one hand
- The re-alignment conversation that doesn’t re-sell
5
Re-Engagement
The stage most agents skip entirely — and the one that’s earned months earlier.
What you build
- Trigger-based follow-up: what reopens a conversation, and when
- The re-entry message that references what they said, not what you sent
- A cadence you can hold through a busy quarter
6
Commitment
Confirmed, not assumed — because assumed commitment stays fragile to the closing table.
What you build
- Your pre-confirmation questions, written before the appointment
- Criteria checks that surface a wobble early
- A handoff into the transaction that keeps the clarity intact
How it’s structured
Three parts. Built to be worked, not read.
Part One
Sort the pipeline
Take your database and place every active contact into a stage. You finish with six real lists and a clear view of where your business is actually sitting — usually a surprise, and usually a relief.
Part Two
Work each stage
One chapter per stage. The conversation, the cadence, the tools, and the CRM setup — so each stage leaves the page as something running in your business rather than something you understand.
Part Three
Keep them moving
The quarterly re-sort, the weekly conversation number, and the tracking that tells you whether anyone actually moved a stage — which is the only progress that counts.
Roughly 30% reading, 70% work. If you finish a chapter with nothing written down, the chapter failed.
This is for you if
- You have a database with real people in it and no idea which ones are close
- Your follow-up is honest effort applied at random intervals
- Clients go quiet and you can’t tell processing from gone
- You’d rather guide a decision than push one
- You’re staying independent and need systems, not a bigger payroll
This isn’t
- A lead-generation program or a source of new strangers
- A set of closing techniques for overcoming objections
- A book you read once and shelve
- Dependent on any other Solo Agent Academy book — it stands alone
- Software. It’s paper, on purpose, because paper gets used.
Don’t wait on the workbook
Start reading stages this week.
These six tools are free and live now. They won’t sort your database or build the cadence — that’s what the workbook is for — but they’ll tell you where a specific client is standing today, and that’s enough to change the next conversation.
Be the first to know.
The Decision Gap Loop Workbook™ arrives in September 2026. Join the waitlist and you’ll hear when it’s ready — along with the free tools and articles that build the same system in the meantime.
